A Dementor’s Self-Introduction

はじめまして!クリスです。よろしくおねがいします。今、言語学の学生です。二年生です。後たのむよ。

Hey there! Cris here — struggling student linguist, frustrated aspiring writer, wannabe fanfiction writer, bloody known for putting ‘pro’ in procrastination. Right now I’m majoring in Japanese and planning a suicide by wanting to take up French and Korean and Linguistics.

I’m your average, ordinary, everyday superhero geeky kid with a penchant for good books and well-written stories. As with everyone else who fancies themselves writers, I dream of having my original fiction published. It’s ranks right up there with getting that scholarship to Japan. Which I and my blockmates all have our eyes on.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I have multiple personality disorder, or am at least bipolar. I can be literally bouncing around the room and chatting up everyone one second, and then completely quiet and secluded in a corner. Sometimes, I just stare and end up inadvertently scaring someone because they thought I was staring at them while thinking about random stuff. Sometimes, I glare, and (quoted from my high school classmates) “seem to suck the happiness out of [other people]”. There was even a time when people burst into tears from me just looking (or glancing!) at them. But I’m not scary. Really, I’m not! Except I’m rather loony, so I guess I am.

According to multiple testings on typelogic.com of Jung’s Personality Test, I am generally an INTJ, or more specifically an Introverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging type of person (http://typelogic.com/intj.html). That makes me a Mastermind. According to Kiersey, the people  who came up with the Jungian personality system:

“Masterminds are rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population, and they are rarely encountered outside their office, factory, school, or laboratory. … Masterminds do not feel bound by established rules and procedures, and traditional authority does not impress them, nor do slogans or catchwords. Only ideas that make sense to them are adopted. Those that don’t, aren’t, no matter who thought of them. Their aim is always maximum efficiency.”

That would make me a perfect Slytherin 😉

I also share the same type as Ootori Kyoya (Ouran High School Host Club), Tseng (Final Fantasy VII), Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass), Kuran Kaname (Vampire Knight), Aoyagi Seimei (Loveless), Uchiha Itachi (Narutobut you knew that, right? XD), Rufus Barma (Pandora Hearts), Franken Stein (Soul Eater), and Tom Marvolo Riddle, otherwise known as Lord Voldemort (Harry Potter). Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) and Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs) are also known INTJs.

Sometimes, I would be classified as an INTP (http://typelogic.com/intp.html), or more recently, an INFJ (http://typelogic.com/infj.html). Those are Introspective, iNtuitive, Thinking, Perceiving and Introspective, iNtuitive, Feeling, and Judging, respectively.

Anyway, as I said before, I like books. Even the really thick ones with really small font (as long as the lines are spaced well enough as my eyes hurt otherwise). Usually, I gobble up a book in one sitting, and then move on to the next. I think it’s a reigning trend in my other habits as well.

I like hands, notebooks with good quality paper, tribal designs, swords, and other similar sharp objects.

I like music, dancing, and, when my voice actually cooperates with me, singing.

I like meat, bread, pasta, bacon, and pancakes.

I like fruits, ice cream, yogurt, cake, and chocolate.

I also have absolutely no idea what to do with my life.
